Hola Laura, aca estoy
nuevamente poniendome en contacto contigo ya que la vez que vuelvo
de algun evento organizado por vos quedo llena de inquietudes y con
mil ganas de hacer cosas. Sos la
inyección de energia que necesitaba para tomar la desicion
de abrir mi propio instituto.
Cuando volvi en Febrero comence a elaborar la idea y ahora ya estoy
en marcha. Las sensaciones son raras porque tengo una mezcla de miedo,
nervios, ganas, euforia etc etc etc....
Como ya te dije quiero que vos seas la MADRINA de este que sera mi
sueño hecho realidad, en estos dias me tienen que responder
sobre una casa que fui a ver y que mis papas me compran (alguna ventaja
por ser hija unica) para que me instale alli. Algo de experiencia
tengo ya que hace 14 años (antes de recibirme de teacher) me
llamaron de una escuela publica de aca de Granadero Baigorria y forme
los cursos de ingles que dependen de la cooperadora, habiendo comenzado
con 30 alumnos y yo sola, hoy tenemos 230 y somos 5 profes trabajando,
el caso es que cambiaron las autoridades, los cooperadores etc y ya
no me siento feliz alli. Pero se que ese proyecto lo pari yo y hoy
en dia me duele un poco dejarlo pero es momento de crecer y alli no
puedo, asi que a otra cosa.
Bueno aca van mis pedidos 1º como nos prometiste please mandame
los 73 tips de Moneyless Marketing, ya que la proxima me llevo un
perito taquigrafo viste porque es too much for me jejeje, y ademas
quisiera que me digas como hacer para registrar logo y nombre. Ah
me gustaria mucho ser centro examinador de examenes internacionales
y me gustaria me recomiendes con quien contactarme.

Laura: Cuando me preparaba
para asistir por primera vez al congreso de Coordinadores de estudio
me imaginaba, por lo que me habían dicho y referencias de conocidos,
que me iría muy bien y que sería una muy buena experiencia
en esta nueva actividad en la que me encuentro actualmente (titular
de un instituto de Inglés sin ser docente de inglés).
Por lo cual,
decidí abandonar marido e hijos y partir rumbo a la 'Capi Fede'
(como decimos nosotros).
Hoy, ya finalizado el congreso, puedo decir que todo lo que me imaginaba
era poco. Realmente no me queda más que felicitarlos por su
profecionalismo,
calidez, claridad, dinamismo, organización, temática,
etc., etc., etc., etc.
Para mi ha sido 'clave' haber asistido al congreso. Podría
decir que hay un antes y un después del congreso en lo que
hace a mi función y visión de la
institución.

Dear Laura,
Let me tell you that the ones that must be thankful are us. The congress
was such a great experience that we are looking
forward to going there again next year!!
My friend and I were thrilled with all the lectures; we enjoyed them
all. We will convince the rest of our classmates to come with us next
year. We really had a great time, and we could learn from very different
tspeakers who fullfilled all our expectations.
Even though we are still learning many things, and we consider ourselves
not very experienced, this Congress has helped us to find new aspects
of teaching, learning and sharing with others. Now we expect to put
all this knowledge into practice.

Soy Marisa D'Alessandro y es la segunda vez que participo en un
evento de ustedes (el 1ro. fue el de febrero), no sé de qué
modo expresarles lo que sentí en estos tres días ...
creo que debería hacerlo agradeciendo
por...
...las
sonrisas de Laura, Miguel, León, Ricardo
(espero no confundir nombres!!!!!!!) cada mañana al ingresar,
a la noche al irnos (¡hasta después del dancing con
Ma. Marta!), y todas y cada una de las veces que los cruzaba por
algún lado;
...la
amabilidad de todas las chicas y chicos a la entrada
de los salones y en el hospitality desk;
...los
talleres que me encantaron y los que no me gustaron
también ya que como bien dijo Miguel en el suyo también
aprendemos de lo que no estamos de acuerdo;
...de
la calidez, del ambiente tan tan agradable que se
vivió en todo momento (hasta cuando tuvimos que cambiar de
salón por la demora de un disertante);
...por el lugar que
estuvo re lindo;
... por todo el material para
"chusmear" y ponerse al día (¡y gastar aunque
más no sea un poquito ya mi sueldo de teacher no da para
mucho!);
...por la buena onda y buen humor
de todo el mundo ;
...por todo lo que aprendí,
lloré (sí, ese es mi problema ,soy muuuuuuuy llorona,
si no pregúntele a Laura Scmuch, soy una de sus alumnas de
NLP) y reflexioné ;
...por el bailecito del final;
...en fin por tres días de
intercambio con pares que no siempre viven nuestras
mismas realidades y que nos sirve para crecer como profesionales
pero mucho más como personas;
...dejo para el final -last but not least- palabras de Miguel que
me conmovieron , se lo comenté ayer a Laura y anoche se las
repetí a mis hijos ya que me llegaron mucho por ser algo
que viven con su papá desde hace algún tiempo: cuando
estamos a punto de caer, tenemos que mirar abajo y ver los ojos
de nuestros hijos , son los que nos tienen que dar fuerza para seguir...
yo ya no los miro para abajo porque son más altos que yo,
sin embargo también vale y mucho...
Y sí, tienen que estar re felices con lo que consiguieron
durante estos tres días, al menos en lo que a mí respecta:
me llegó todo, todo no sólo a la mente, sino, y muy
especialmente, al corazón.

Dear Laura,
I mentioned this to you in person, but would like to reiterate that
my experience at the conference was absolutely unforgettable!
Shash and I reached back to LA on time and in once piece. He says
thank to you for getting him over to Argentina too. He wouldn’t
have really thought about visiting if it were not the conference I
was going to. Overall, our trip from Ushuaia to Iguazu via Buenos
Aires was a very memorable one and we are completely in love with
Argentina, it’s food, it’s people, and of course, the
alfajores! We are officially on a sugar-free diet starting today to
balance out the helados, the chocolate, and the flans we had every
single day of our stay in Argentina.
This conference
was my first experience of 100% motivation, dedication to
the profession, and eagerness to learn among the audience. The arrangements
were fantastic – how couldn’t they be considering your
impeccable planning and personal attention
to every detail! Miguel was also phenomenal at keeping
track of changes and needs of the participants and exhibitors alike.
I was completely impressed with everything I saw and experienced there
and also want to convey my thanks for introducing me to a few key
contacts.
I got back to the office today and reported to our director, Ms. Bronwyn
Jenkins-Deas, right away. She was very happy to hear about the conference
and my presentation and has also started working on the contact you
sent to Guilherme. He is out of his office at a fair in Brazil and
will be getting in touch with you when he returns. You will be hearing
from both Bronwyn and Guilherme soon and we hope that we can have
you and Miguel in Riverside soon to see the amazing changes and plans
we are working on right now at our IEP.
I also met Sheila today in the corridor and told her what an amazing
conference I had. She was delighted to hear about it and I also had
to narrate to her the special attention you got for UCR at the closing
ceremony along with your mention of how Sheila has been a mentor to
you for so many years. She was really touched and was extremely happy
to know that you are leading such an important organization.
Laura, I thank you again for the opportunity and hope that you also
feel you had a good conference. I am looking forward to really re-establish
our connection with Argentina through you and to all our future endeavors
together. We’ll stay in touch!

As I told you when I was leaving the congress, I went to B.A for
Coordinating I & II in May and I also enjoyed this Congress.
But you will not get rid of me so easily. I´m already surfing
the net to know more about the Congress for teachers in February
and I´m trying to encourage more people in my school to do
it. I´ll go in February, anyway.
As regards the congress, I tell you I
had never managed to feel myself so motivated in other seminars
before. For the first time it was not just
a
course in which I was only given a lot of theory to read but also
loads of practical tips and ideas to work as a coordinator and as
a teacher as well!
And what is more, I feel more commited as an educator than
